Located in the heart of Poipu Kai, Poipu Sands Condo #524 is a modern two-bedroom and two-bath tropical vacation rental with unobstructed views of Shipwreck Beach. With this kind of view, guests enjoy spending time on the palatial enclosed lanai, complete with lounge chaises and an outdoor dining table. Inside the condo, the large kitchen features everything you need for the convenience of home, with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and all the small appliances needed, while the dining room seats four people comfortably.

This single-story Poipu condo has a spacious layout that is perfect for a family traveling with children. From the primary suite, lie in bed while drinking in the stunning ocean views. The en suite bathroom in the primary suite is complete with a double vanity and jacuzzi tub with shower. The second bedroom also has its own king-sized bed and en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The Poipu Sands Resort has a private heated resort swimming pool, community gas barbecues, and on-site tennis courts. Walking paths along the property lead you down to Keoneloa Bay (Shipwreck Beach), where it is fun to watch the brave body surfers catch large crashing waves or take a walk along Shipwreck’s Cliff to the Makauwahi Caves. All of Poipu’s great beaches for swimming and snorkeling are a short drive or walk away, while shopping, dining, and golf are located within five minutes of the condo.

Beautiful Oceanfront Stay with Everything You Need

This is a beautiful very clean unit with spectacular full window / balcony views of the ocean. We went with friends and having the split plan bedrooms with their own bathrooms was ideal. Very comfortable beds of which we forgot to look under the mattress cover to see the brand! LOL Plenty of white fluffy bath towels and black makeup towels which was also smart. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed and having it open to the family room/dining was great too so you can be part of the group while cooking and taking in the ocean views. There were two coffee makers, one with a pot and one that takes pods which was nice. Another nice bonus was having the beach chairs, buggy and beach towels. The only thing you should know is there is "no" air conditioning so you need to be comfortable with just opening the windows and turning on their vertical fans they provided. It took a day or two to adapt but then we were fine. :-) The host was terrific with communication and accommodating our needs quickly. We will certainly rent this unit again! The property has amazing views and close proximity to restaurants in Koloa and at the Grand Hyatt nearby. Our unit was clean, quiet and convenient. We were able to take long walks on the paved trails throughout the area.

This was a great property with a beautiful view and perfect location for walks and dinners, shopping close by. We will be back again. Comfortable Condo With Beautiful Ocean Views!

We had a great time during our 10 day stay here. The unit is well furnished with superb and very comfortable furniture and bedding. The kitchen is well stocked with working appliances. How often do you rent a condo and find sharp knives in the kitchen and skillets and pots that are good to use? My answer to this question would be almost never. Not here. It was a pleasure to use this kitchen!

We had a hard time getting out of bed each morning, listening to the soft surf coming through the open screens to the master bedroom, and lying in a very comfortable bed with luxury linens.

The beautiful views of Shipwrecks Beach and the grassy area of the Grand Hyatt property are seen from all of the common spaces and the master bedroom. I think only units in Bldg 5 of Poipu Sands have that beautiful view.

We had no need for an AC in January with this property. It faces the east, and only the back bedroom will get some afternoon sun.

It's a bit of a hike to use the outdoor gas grills, but not too bad. Just make sure you bring some aluminum foil for your cooked food before bringing it back to the condo to help keep it warm for your walk back.

Parking is easy as there are no mechanical gates to come through, and there were ample available spaces near the unit.

The pool is sufficiently large enough for laps, and I would suggest that the property owners would rather have you use the pool for laps than for just bobbing around half asleep in a floatie, as they don't have to swim around you. In fact, there is a sign as you enter the pool that states that only water wings are allowed for floaties. However, I did see some families with small kids use various floaties, which I think they should be allowed to do...but, I'm not an owner.

Condo has beautiful view, just a few steps from the ocean. It's right next door to the Hyatt, which is beautiful with many food options. Condo is clean, updated with 2 bedroom with adjoining baths. It has no air conditioning, which we will look for next time. Yes, there are winds and screened louvers, just a little too warm for me. You won't be disappointed.

The pictures are accurate although the view of the ocean from the patio is better than any picture!! The condo is clean and adequately stocked with everything needed. Two big bedrooms with comfortable king size beds. The breeze comes through the windows every night causing a delightful sleeping environment. Our family of four adults very much enjoyed our stay here! The condo is very spacious and comfortable, nicely decorated, with everything we needed in the kitchen along with full size bath products in both bathrooms. The use of the beach chairs and picnic basket were very much appreciated as was the washer and dryer. The view was beautiful and the lanai was so relaxing. How nice to be greeted at our condo with soothing Hawaiian music playing! We loved our stay at Poipu Sands. The sunrises in the mornings and the views were spectacular! The condo was nicely appointed, immaculate, and the grounds beautiful. It had all the necessary ammenities. We enjoyed walks along Shipwreck Beach and the cliffs along the ocean. We had a wonderful stay at Poipu Sands. This unit had a perfect view of Shipwreck Beach from every room except the bedroom at the rear of the unit. Everything was clean. Property management was great about checking in with us and working with us. We had problems with the freezer and maintenance was up immediately. Our only “complaint” was there was literally nothing provided (other than great ground coffee—on salt, pepper, olive oil or even foil. To but these things gets pretty pricey if you plan to cook in. They did say in their description that there were no supplies. They meant it! I would definitely stay here again!

The unit is lovely-pictures are accurate. The view is stunning! Sun rise ❤️ Property is right next to Grand Hyatt so we enjoyed cocktails and appetizers there every evening. Definitely need a car if you want to explore, which we did not rent. We walked every place! You might want to go to Costco or a big grocery store before going to unit if you plan on cooking. There is no grocery close by. Enjoy!!

What an awesome location. If you are traveling to Kauai and looking for that perfect spot look no further. Beautiful (unobstructed) views of the ocean, next to the Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach. If you are up for a nice walk there is a greenway walking path to Poipu Beach (1 mile). Unit is clean and patio is spacious. Will certainly rent again.
