We had an absolutely fantastic stay! Such an amazing air bnb, spotlessly clean with lots of well thought out features and amenities. The beach chairs were so useful and the pool was lovely especially in the evenings. I’d highly recommend this as accommodation - enjoy!

We had a lovely stay at the Sugar Cottage! You cannot beat the location! There are walking paths everywhere that can get you to one of many beaches in just a few short minutes. The unit is very nice, everything was sparkling clean, and the communication from Alekona Kauai was phenomenal. They went out of their way to ensure everything was top-notch! Would highly recommend a stay in this beautiful location.
Oh, and there are avocados and apple bananas growing in the backyard. :)
Perfect Home for a Relaxing Family Vacation

This house is perfect for two couples or a small family. I booked for myself, daughter, son in law and grandson. We had plenty of space and the house was very baby friendly. There is two bedrooms, one with an en suite bath and one with the bath just outside the bedroom. My family stayed in the room with the bathroom outside of the room as to not wake the baby when showering etc. The location is perfect walking distance to the beach (baby/brenneckes) as well as a short walk to the Hyatt and Shipwreck beach. It a short drive to stores and other places! The house was clean and had everything we needed including beach chairs and towels. My daughter ordered a crib, highchair & stroller (jogger style) from babyquip and used the VRBO discount which was so good to have! I will happily book this again as this house was absolutely wonderful!

Such an amazing place! We really enjoyed our stay. It has all the amenities one can ask for. Michael and Jessica were super accommodating of pretty much all of our requests. We had a toddler and an elderly parent and both felt right at home. Highly recommend for anyone visiting. Poipu beach, the turtle viewing area were all super close.

The location and communication with the property was superb. We wish we could have stayed much longer. It was so comfortable, had everything we needed, kitchen was well stocked, etc. We had amazing home cooked breakfasts before heading out to explore each day. Brennecke’s beach is just a quick stroll down the path. Paradise.

Fantastic resort community in the heart of Poipu Beach area! The staff of Alekona Kauai Vacation Rentals are great, so helpful and responsive, with clear information and instructions for checking in and out. We were there in January 2025 and were lucky enough to stay at the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom "Sugar Cottage" with another couple. It was the perfect size and layout, with the necessary kitchen items, plenty of linens, and even beach towels for our use. It is a short walk to the very well kept community pool with hot tub as well as right to Poipu Beach. Quick drive to the Poipu malls and Koloa Town for wonderful restaurants and shopping. Thank you, Alekona Kauai, for a great trip!

My friend and I booked Sugar Cottage for a week in Kauai. It was perfect for us - the bedrooms are on either side of the main living area. The living area is very comfortable with great seating options for watching TV and eating. We loved the special touches like the local toffee and the spices. The location was really perfect - an easy walk to Shipwreck's and Poipu beach. We loved the walking paths in the complex. Communication with Alekona Kauai was a breeze from the moment we booked it. Overall it was a perfect choice. Can't wait to go back!

Our party of four (two couples) had a wonderful stay at the Sugar Cottage. It was the perfect size for us. The living room and dining area are more spacious than appear in their photos. The beds are comfy; bathrooms large. Very well stocked with regular towels, beach towels, beach equipment, pots/pans, dishes, even tupperware. Air conditioning and ceiling fans in every room. We loved sitting on the large backyard patio at night. The home is convenient to Poipu Beach and Brennecke’s Beach. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Access to nice resort pool and jacuzzi. We had a great experience working with the staff. Excellent communication. Easy instructions by text and email. Thanks very much to Chelsea for making our stay perfect!

The location was great! It was between two beautiful beaches that were accessible by a 10 minute walk along a paved path. There was also a shopping center with a convince store, restaurants, and shops a 5 minute drive away. The house was great for our group of 5 and had a wonderful master bathroom shower. Would definitely stay again, Thank you Michael!!!
